Well, it’s been a while since I posted an update here. Sorry about that. The good thing is though that I haven’t stopped writing my novel. I’ve been doing that a lot on my stream (https://www.twitch.tv/gabdepalowrites) If you’d like to come and join in, maybe chat to me about the book or writing in general.

Now, the reason I haven’t written anything here for a while is that I feel like it’s… A little useless. I know, I know, it’s not useless, but the problem is that writing here means that I’m not writing my book, which to me, is wasting time. This, mind you, makes no sense because I have a lot of free time – I play a lot of video games, so I should have time to spend maybe 10-15 minutes writing a blog post.

I feel as though my motivation for writing on my blog is significantly diminished after realising that it’s very difficult for a blog to actually get seen. There are a few people who read my blog consistently (hi guys!), but it’s not very many, and my dopamine-addicted brain wants big numbers. The actual intelligent part of my brain, though, understands that having fans at all is a huge deal, and it’s really all I wanted, people to appreciate my work. So to the people reading this, I appreciate you, even if my dumbass brain keeps telling me to only care about big numbers.

This does create a problem where I feel a lack of motivation to give any updates here. So, please bear with me, I’m truly doing my best. I might swap to a video-based blog, which could give me more motivation, but we’ll see.
