A Forsworn Fantasy

The Forsworn Cycle & the history of the Forged Lands

The majority of the Forsworn Cycle takes place during the same 4 years concurrently – as in, books 1-4 will all be occurring alongside each other chronologically, with some stories continuing into others. For example, Poppy’s tale in Book 1 will continue with Ricard’s tale in Book 3. Children of the Sun, aka Book 1, is currently exactly 666 pages long, and it only encompasses the stories that take place in a single continent out of the four total that exist during this time period. That should give a sense of scale as to just how much is going on in the Forged Lands during these times.

Unfortunately, these 4 books will only cover those 4 short years of the Forged Lands’ history, with a few flashbacks here or there, when there are thousands of years of history that shaped what the Lands look like during this time. The Forsworn Cycle can be thought of almost like an introduction to the world – stories of a group of heroes that staved off darkness in a world that they were simply born into.

There are other, far more world-defining stories behind the Forged Lands. Stories of how the Sacred Eight came to be, where the Lost Continent went, how the Thousand Year War came to pass, even the creation of the world itself. However, these stories will have to wait until the Forsworn Cycle is completed.

My roadmap is as follows:

  • Children of the Sun – Book 1 of the Forsworn Cycle
  • Books 2-4 of the Forsworn Cycle
  • Book 1 of the Starchasers Saga (a planned prequel series)
  • Tales of the Forged Lands (a companion book of novellas)
  • Books 2-3 of the Starchasers Saga
  • TBC

So if people enjoy Children of the Sun, which will be released eventually, then they certainly have a lot to look forward to.

Until next time! Or catch me on my Twitch stream on most nights.
