A Forsworn Fantasy

About the Author

Gabriel De Palo is a fantasy writer from Sydney, Australia. Currently, he has not published any solo works, but is credited as one of the writers of the TTRPG companion book D100 NPCs, and is working on his first solo novel, titled Children of the Sun, the first of four planned novels in the series The Forsworn Cycle.

Gabriel isn’t just a writer, though. He is an experienced Dungeon Master in D&D 5th Edition, having written two different campaigns and sharing them with a number of different adventuring parties, as well as an (alleged) expert gamer and pianist. Of course, being a fantasy novelist, he is a huge fan of the works of Tolkien, George R. R. Martin, and Stephen King, as well as more modern-day fantasy writers such as Derek Landy (Skulduggery Pleasant). In fact, much of his inspiration for writing comes from these four authors.

Gabriel has been obsessed with fantasy writing for more than a decade, his first fantasy books being Emily Rodda’s Deltora Quest series back in 2008. Ever since then, he has been writing, but foolishly kept his words to himself, and now he has no idea where to find them.*

Finally, after many, many, many years, he’s decided to come out of his shell and write about… Well, whatever things he comes up with inside his head, as well as perhaps give some advice along the way about fantasy writing in general.

Thanks for visiting my blog, by the way. It’s weird writing about myself in third person.

*He thinks it’s probably best that he can’t find them. He’d probably cringe so hard that he dies. As would you.
